[PRESS RELEASE]

OAKLAND, FL. (November 19, 2019) – Oakland Park, a master-planned community located along the border of Winter Garden and Oakland, FL, has received approval for the delivery of 142 new homesites in two new phases. Approval came unanimously from both municipalities, with 104 homesites to be located in the city of Winter Garden and the remaining 38 in the town of Oakland.

It has been nearly 18 months since Oakland Park last delivered new, buildable homesites, all located in the city of Winter Garden. The master-planned community currently consists of nearly 400 homes across 258 acres and anticipates reaching 820 total homes between both municipalities upon completion. This latest phase marks the community’s first development in the town of Oakland. The Oakland Park community will build out the remaining homesites in close cooperation with the town of Oakland, beginning with the initial 38 homesites approved last week.

“We are very excited to not only deliver new homesites in Oakland Park, but to begin our expansion into the town of Oakland as well,” says Adam Lorry, Managing Partner of Landeavor, owners and developers of Oakland Park. “Oakland Park is an iconic, irreplaceable community and we are thrilled we now have new homesites available for our builders and for future residents. Interest in the community has remained high despite the lack of new home inventory in Oakland Park, and delivery of these new phases will quickly initiate new home construction.” In addition to top-quality homes and distinctive architecture, Oakland Park residents have direct access to the West Orange Trail that bisects the community, two resort-style pools, clubhouse, playground, as well as numerous parks and trails along the shore of Lake Apopka.

Homes will be available from a variety of Oakland Park’s highly regarded regional builders including David Weekley Homes, RCB Homes and J&J Building. Construction of model homes in the Oakland and Winter Garden phases is expected to begin in early 2020.
